This project is a continuation of the project;
Playa di Pueblo, Sombra pa Nos (Designs We Inherit). Which was a six month project, where I explored my connection to Curaçao through sculptures and performances. When I returned to the Netherlands I had a different question; How do I stay connected to the island when I am away?

As a migrant, part of your home always exists elsewhere. So when I am here, in my home away from home, I find myself wondering what that connection becomes. How does it show up? What does it mean to be here, while still belonging there?

With the performance, Rosea: Thoughts & Prayers, I invited people to explore these questions collectively. Through ritual and conversation. Continuing my exploration of performance art as a spiritual and social political practice.
