Studio Santu Pretu is the artistic practice of Travis A. G. Geertruida
Travis A. G. Geertruida (b. 1993, Curaçao) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the cultural dynamics, histories, and shared memories of the Dutch-Caribbean community. Drawing from his upbringing in Curaçao, his heritage, and personal experiences, he investigates identity and his relationship to the past.
Working across sculpture, installation, performance, video, and photography, he translates research and writing into visual and spatial narratives. His work explores themes of spirituality, history, duality, identity, and collective memory, often re-contextualising personal and cultural histories to examine how they shape the present.
